WELCOME TO OUR SCHOOL COMMUNITY Sacred Heart School is located in the rural farming community of Mildmay, Ontario. We are very proud of our school community which is located in two separate buildings. The grade JK-4 students attend our Sacred Heart Junior School at 8 Vincent Street, Mildmay, Ontario.
The grade 5-8 students attend our Sacred Heart Senior School at 18 Peter Street, Mildmay, Ontario.
Approximately 200 students make up our K- Grade 8 school community. Each school building has its’ own gym and well equipped library. We offer core French beginning in Junior Kindergarten, as well as the full Ontario curriculum, infused with the teachings of the Gospel values. Our students proudly participate in numerous spiritual, academic, social, and emotional activities in partnership with our parents, parish priest, and community. Athletics & the Arts are integral components of our school community. Traditional school sports are offered to our gr. 4-8 students, with opportunities to participate in a variety of tournaments & skill based programs sponsored by the Bruce Grey Catholic District School Board. Music, drama, and the arts are celebrated in numerous ways in all of our class rooms. Sacred Heart is very proud of its’ "Spirit in Motion" group. A dedicated group of grade 6 students who organize, lead, and promote healthy, cooperative recess activities at both buildings. The staff at Sacred Heart believe that all students can achieve high standards given appropriate time and support. Through ongoing professional learning, staff participate in workshops on faith development, assessment, literacy, and numeracy and bring their knowledge, heart, and commitment into our class rooms on a daily basis.
